Know your pace
Divide the total time by the number of items to find your average time per question. Check your progress at regular points, for example every 25 questions, and speed up or slow down as needed. Confirm the exact time and number of items in the official announcement of your exam.
The two-pass method
- First pass: answer every question you can do quickly and mark the harder ones.
- Second pass: go back to the marked questions with the time you saved.
- Never leave an item blank without at least making an educated guess.
When to skip
If a question is taking more than about twice your average time, mark it and move on. A difficult item is worth the same as an easy one.
Smart guessing
- Eliminate the choices you know are wrong first.
- Watch for extreme words such as “always” and “never,” which are often wrong.
- If you have no clue, choose an answer and move on. Do not leave it blank.
Practice with a timer
Our reviewer tracks the time you spend on each part. Use it to see how long you take, then try to finish the same part a little faster next time, without losing accuracy. A week or two of timed practice makes pacing feel natural.
